Sugar Grove Community Fall Festival, Hosted by Summit Baptist Church Scheduled for Oct. 28
SUGAR GROVE, Va. – Children and families of Southwest Virginia will have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of fall activities free of charge later this month as the Summit Baptist Church will host the first annual Sugar Grove Community Fall Festival.
The event, which will be held at the Summit Baptist Church, located at 1202 Cedar Springs Rd. in Sugar Grove, is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Families will be able to pick a free pumpkin from the “Summit Baptist Pumpkin Patch”, play a variety of fall games, take a mini-hay ride, pet the animals in the petting zoo, paint pumpkins, take pictures at the photo booth and enjoy dozens of other fall activities.
Additionally, free hotdogs and drinks will be provided to all who attend, as well as candy for children.
“As parents, we fully understand that raising children can be an expensive endeavor – the Sugar Grove Community Fall Festival is an opportunity for our church to provide a place for families to enjoy quality time together absolutely free of charge,” said Pastor Jeremy Farley.
Children are encouraged to come dressed in their fall costumes, ready and eager to have fun!
“Jesus made it abundantly clear that how you treat children matters and our church intends to roll out the red carpet for families on this date,” added the church’s pastor.
This year the Summit Baptist Church is celebrating its 75th year of ministry and has in recent months witnessed a surge in growth – seeing over 40 visitors in their friend day service earlier this month.
